Please lets face reality

This praise singing attitude of Ghanaians is the reason why our politicians take us for granted . Say it as it is ? You don't need to hide behind the facade of hope.

There is no hope absolutely anywhere . Yes I'm being a pessimist if I wake up each day with increase in prices of commodities and I'm expected to believe all is well . What does that make me ? I'm a realist , I judge things by what I see not what I'm told would happen.

Sometimes we as a people need to be realistic about our reality . If you wake every day to meet new prices of basic commodities and you tell me you are optimistic things will change , you are not only being an ignoramus but a doodle .

If aliens should arrive from another planet , they will quickly realize how bad our economy is faring. How long are we going to be fed with words.Take a guess

Lets use our heads and prevent cholera

I woke up this morning feeling very angry and sad . What's the reason for my emotions . ? It's something that annoys me .It will with you when we think the same .

The cholera epidemic threatening to eat up the lives of Ghanaians is something I've been pondering about . Nobody should die of cholera in this country if we are willing to use our heads . Sometimes we deserve to be told the harsh realities of our action .

You see it's not easy to form a new attitude but for the mere fact that people are dying each and everyday for reasons we know puts me off . I don't know how many times Ghanaians have to be told , unsanitary environments breeds diseases , this is an ancient truth , keep clean and be safe from this avoidable diseases .

It's common to see people indiscriminately throwing rubbish anywhere . The worst times are during rainy seasons . Then I ask myself , when you do that who do you expect to get sick .

Numerous campaigns have been launched by previous and current government about the need to keep our environment clean but it seems to me , the more vigorous the campaign , the worst our attitude towards the situation . It baffles me. Keeping rubbish in an organised place for easier management is not such a huge task but I don't understand why Ghanaians can't do it .

Until we learn to keep our environment a clean, we have ourselves to blame for the prevailing cholera epidemic.

Poetry : Angry god

You puny mortal

You stand before your god and make such blasphemous statements

I shall have you hang on the pike of intense anguish

Your tears shall be my quench of thirst

Your being shall be baked in the eternal fires of wrath

I shall not relent ,

For destroying a part of my kingdom You shall forever remain in desolate isolation of uncompromising agony

And I shall proclaim my supreme authority over all lands willed under the universal guardian

You must know that this territory does not belong to you

Neither of your fathers before you .

Your complete annihilation is at your behest when next you return .

Welcome to wahala country

I officially welcome you to Wahala country . If this is your first time . Be rest assured things are a bit disorganized here. However work is in progress .

We have structures in place to ensure you enjoy your stay. First of all as a matter of priority, there will be water rationing almost for the entire duration of your stay. We don't know how long you will be here but understand the meaning of "entire duration" . Don't get us wrong .

We've been working around the clock to ensure you get at least a bucket full . Another thing . Be sure to get extra batteries for your torch or enough candles .Do not ask why? You will definitely need them .

We never know when the lights will go off . Understand this is standard procedure and there's no room for negotiations. If you ever need to go anywhere . Get extra protection , our police can't be everywhere. We sincerely hope enjoy your stay .

Dis poem is true,inspiring, and revealing
Dis poem is for all,for or against
Dis poem is filled with truth yet to manifest on TV
Dis poem is scholarly in its right and academic in its might
Dis poem doesn't need a teacher ,yet it teaches, message of hidden truths
Dis poem breaks political and religious barriers
Dis poem has survived from wounds of ages past
Dis poem is hurt but it continues to speak
Dis poem speaks in all languages devoid of ethnicity and tribe
Dis poem speaks of the greatness of the founders of black civilization
Dis poem is malleable to fit in every society
Dis poem hidden beneath true power of one Africa
Dis poem is power, strong and decisive
Dis poem is not of ink, it cant be scribbled
Dis poem speaks in hieroglyphics of time unknown
Dis poem is made of stone, iron and steel
Dis poem cannot be destroyed, for it reveals and still reveals the true stories of Africa
Dis poem is questioning your thinking capabilities,are you free
Dis poem cannot be completed, its unwritten
Dis poem is a scripture , a holy word
Dis poem is a combined literature of all written literature's of time
Dis poem abounds in wisdom of a great people
Dis poem will not entertain you, it will educate you
Dis poem is in tandem with political, economic ,social times of now
Dis poem is flirty, you cant get enough of it
Dis poem cannot be bought, this poem cannot be married
Dis poem is alive, and will forever be in your mind.

Poetry: Emotional gravity

Had I seen that force coming , I would levitate to embrace it

But as I watch in awe , my emotional strapping unbalanced to heed to the call

My internal wrangling of discomfort made bare by such audacity ,

Crawling right from my very being

Gasping for breath , I shudder and

Steeply it manifests from the bottom up

My feet could barely touch earthly existence and my eyes could hardly make celestial doors

I was about to scream in pride but cultivated receptivity hits me hard.

With a blow beyond which my physical capacity could hold .
